Step back in time to 15th century Florence to help Leonardo da Vinci as he tests out his latest invention, the Great Kite! Guests are rewarded immediately for their participation with a stunning view of the city below. However, no great experiment is complete without a few unexpected variables in the way!
After approaching a strange relic in a Leonardo da Vinci exhibition, guests are transported back to the year 1479 and find themselves inside of da Vinci’s workshop! The genius inventor quickly spots them and uses this new influx of people as an opportunity to test out his newly revised flying machine, the Great Kite. Unfortunately, da Vinci has to stay back at his workshop to finish an artistic commission, so he entrusts the help of his good friend, Giovanni “Gio” Ambrogio de Predis, to act as their guide. The test flight begins smoothly enough, but a rogue gust of wind sweeps riders into an active construction site supervised by the Medici family. Luckily, guests will evade the wrath of the Medici family and soar across the Arno River. That luck doesn’t last for too much longer, as a golden eagle mistakes the kites as a threat and damages the cloth keeping the vehicle afloat. The kites fall down into a series of secret tunnels under Florence, and Gio takes a moment to patch up the vehicles. Once he fixes them up, he leads guests out of the tunnels, where they emerge above a beautiful rose garden that contains a young woman with a very familiar smile. Guests start making their way back to da Vinci’s workshop, but they swoop in quickly to observe the bustling Piazza della Signoria. After such an exciting journey, da Vinci meets up with the guests in his hangar and thanks them for participating in his latest experiment.
