In 2024, I was selected as one of sixteen themed entertainment students to embark on a professional trip with my college called Experience Orlando. On the trip, we would visit various entertainment companies in Orlando and showcase our professional brand to get feedback from professionals in the industry. One of the professional materials we were required to bring was a leave behind, a little item that would represent our work and our brand. As someone aspiring to become a creative inclusivity designer, it was difficult for me to think of one particular item to represent the vast scope of my professional brand. I then remembered an exercise I was taught at a young age to help reduce sensory overload. Whenever I was struggling in a particular environment, I would force myself to identify five different sensory stimuli, one for each of my senses. I chose to take that exercise and create little sensory kits to help other people, which is what I strive to do in my design work. I created 120 individual kits with six different themes over the span of a week and was able to hand out a vast majority of them during the trip.
